Just A Reminder, Folks!
Join us tomorrow night for the Lou Reid and Carolina bluegrass concert with special guests Ruth and Max Bloomquist. This is a benefit concert with all profits going to support Family Promise of the Lakeshore. Family Promise provides food and shelter for the homeless folks in our area.
THE SKINNY:
Friday, October 25th, we are presenting a benefit concert at the Howmet Playhouse in Whitehall with all of the profits going to Family Promise of the Lakeshore. We have labeled the show, "Bluegrass with a Purpose," and will feature one of the foremost names in traditional Bluegrass, Lou Reid (Lou has played with the greats i.e.Ricky Skaggs, Longview, Seldom Scene, Quicksilver) and his band, Carolina - collectively known as Lou Reid & Carolina. And if that in itself wasn't enough, local favorites Ruth and Max Bloomquist have volunteered to be open the show as our special guests (Wow, I just impressed myself).
The concert will begin at 7:30. Tickets are $15 apiece and are available at the door.
It's going to be a memorable night of music for a noble cause.
Hope to see you there.
Lou
