FREE White Lake and Oceana Junior Strings Winter Recital

The fifth annual Junior Strings Winter Recital will be presented at the Whitehall United Methodist Church, 117 South Division, at 7:00 P.M., December 17, free and open to the public.
Showcased will be violin and cello students, ages three through high school, of the White Lake & Oceana Junior Strings Program. Under the direction of violinist Becky Parks and cellist Jacob Halmich, students will perform solo and group works.
In addition, skills will be presented that were learned throughout November classes taught by special guest "fiddle" instructor Dan Seabolt. These students will treat everyone to some down-home, holiday fiddlin'!
A young composer's work will also be featured on this recital. This will be the world premiere of an original composition, written and performed by one of our own Junior String students and involving the entire string ensemble.
