The Michigan Irish Music Festival keeps top Irish acts arriving in Muskegon not only during the month of September, but also in the month of March, when we observe St. Patrick's Day. The All-Volunteer team works all year round raising money, earning sponsorships, even fielding the most dainty comfort stations known in the festival business.
And then what does the MIMF team spend the slim profits upon? They feed the hungry among us by donating around thirty-thousand dollars to Muskegon food pantries. If that makes you want to raise a glass to the MIMF, well, just go vote for them to win the Celebrated Service Award right now. Then, the volunteers will have an extra Five Grand for feeding our hungry.
