Behind 8-Ball on Education in Michigan, Marci Hovey-Wright Brings Gretchen Whitmer to Town Mon, 11-18, 6 PM, Muskegon Area Career Technical Center

If one hasn't noticed, the number of charter schools keeps increasing, and many enjoy broad parental support. What can the Democrats do to make the case for public schools with unionized employees? Mind you, the Captain is trying to be fair and balanced on this issue. On the other hand, the excitement at Innocademy in Allegan County and the Environmental Montessori School in Norton Shores is palpable.

Gretchen Whitmer is pretty much the Democrat's best hope for a post Snyder victory for the gubernatorial seat. It's a good sign of influence that Marci Hovey-Wright was able to bring her to town to talk. It's pretty much the same team that brought Bridget McCormick to town before her victory for Michigan State Supreme Court.
